Security Settings

Under Security Settings, different Filter Modes can be turned on for added security when sending documents to the Document Queue via email.

Require Security Key

When using the “Require Security Key” setting, a special text "key" will be required in the subject or body of every email that is being sent to the document queue. If the key is not present, the message will be rejected.

Please Note: When using the key in an email, it must be surrounded by # for the system to recognize it. You can include it anywhere in the subject or body.

Require Allowed IP Address

When using the “Require Allowed IP Address” setting, the system security IP filter list will be used to determine whether the email should be accepted or not. Emails sent from an IP address that is not authorized will be rejected.

The list of authorized IP Addresses can be configured via the System Security Settings page.

Require IP or Security Key

The “Require IP or Security Key” setting is a combination of the two aforementioned options. First, the system security IP filter list will be checked to determine whether the email will be accepted or not. Emails sent from an IP address that is not authorized must have the special security "key" in the body or subject of the message for it to be accepted.
