This article provides an overview of how to run the one-click NCA report, definitions and rules for how the data in each table is calculated, and instructions for how to access the mappings used for the report.

Report Definitions

  1. New Child Victim - Refers to all Collaborate cases that meet all of the below criteria. This definition is used to identify eligible client cases and associated alleged offender cases for Section 1 of the report and is used for every table except Question 6.

    1. Case Type is one of the following:

      1. Client

    2. Case not Invalid

    3. Age at Intake ≤ 18

    4. At least one valid Allegation:

      1. Allegation mapped to an NCA Abuse Type value

    5. At least one Core NCA Service:

      1. Appointment Status is Attended or NA

      2. Service Type mapped to a NCA Service Type value

  2. Child Victim - Refers to Collaborate cases that meet criteria for inclusion in sections 2 and 3 of the report.

    1. Case Type is one of the following:

      1. Client

    2. Case not Invalid

    3. Age at Intake ≤ 18

    4. At least one valid Allegation:

      1. Allegation mapped to an NCA Abuse Type value

    5. Intake Date in the reporting period

    6. At least one Core NCA Service:

      1. Appointment Status is Attended or NA

      2. Service Type mapped to a NCA Service Type value

      3. Service date within the reporting period


  3. All Victims - Refers to Collaborate cases that meet the criteria for inclusion in “Question 6: All Victims - Age Groups”.

    1. Case Type is one of the following:

      1. Client

    2. Case not Invalid

    3. At least one valid Allegation:

      1. Allegation mapped to an NCA Abuse Type value

    4. At least one Core NCA Service:

      1. Appointment Status is Attended or NA

      2. Service Date in the reporting period

  4. Alleged Offender - Refers to alleged offender cases that meet the following criteria and are that counted in Questions 7, 8, and 9.

Reviewing the Lookup Mappings

If you ever have questions about how a particular field (Biological sex, Gender, Pronouns, Relationships, Abuse Types, or Services) are mapped, you may use the following steps to access the mappings:

  1. In the top right of your screen, click on the bell icon with “Help” next to it and then click “View Application Catalog”

  1. On the Application Catalog page, click view next to “Custom Reports”

  2. On the Custom Reports catalog page, click “Manage” next to the NCA report page

  1. On this page, you can see all lookups that are being used in the report and what the mapping values are for that lookup
